In registering for this class you are also automatically registered for the Torah of Farming Series Introduction class on Tuesday, January 13th from 7-8:30pm EST/ 4-5:30pm PT (attendance is optional but helpful if this is your first time learning in a Jewish space!)
Class Description: What does Jewish tradition teach us about our obligations to our livestock in a farming context? How might these teachings guide us as farmers in making the best ethically driven decisions for our stock? Together with Rabbi Philip Ohriner, founder of Maalot Farms, we will explore biblical and rabbinic wisdom we might consider and/or integrate into the contemporary agricultural settings we find ourselves in as Jewish farmers today.
