Farmer-Led Workshops

We believe that knowledge grows when it is shared, and that there is nobody so well versed in the challenges, surprises, and joys of this land-based work as the practitioners themselves.

At a time when Jewish learning and farming knowledge are both widely available, this conference creates space for what is rarer: integrated wisdom that emerges when Jewish tradition is shaped by soil, climate, labor, and care for land—and when farming is informed by ancestral stories, ethics, and spiritual practice.

We heard you! One of the most common requests from past conferences was more opportunities for families to attend together and for Jewish farming kids to meet one another. That's why we're excited to offer children's programming for ages 5–12, led by the experienced Jewish farm-based educators of Eden Village West. While you participate in conference sessions, your kids will enjoy hands-on, nature-based activities, make new friends, and experience the joy of learning and playing alongside other young people growing up in Jewish farming families.

Farm-to-Table Kosher Meals

Whether it’s gathering for breakfast before a day of workshops, sharing lunch outdoors, or lingering over Shabbat dinner with new friends, shared meals are at the heart of the Jewish Farmer Network Conference, nourishing both body and community.

Throughout the conference, participants will enjoy delicious kosher meals thoughtfully prepared with seasonal ingredients, many sourced directly from producers in the local foodshed and kosher, pasture raised meat donated by our friends at Kol Foods.

Brandeis-Bardin is conveniently located just a short drive from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), yet feels worlds away from the bustle of the city. Nestled among the rolling hills and oak groves of Southern California, the campus provides an inspiring setting for learning, connection, and renewal. Jewish Life and Shabbat in Pluralistic Community

If the workshops are the mind of the conference and the meals are the heart, Shabbat at the Jewish Farmer Network Conference is the spirit: an opportunity to pause, reconnect, and experience the richness of Jewish life in community.

Participants from across the spectrum of Jewish & agricultural practice come together to mark sacred time with warmth, curiosity, and mutual respect. Throughout the weekend, there are multiple entry points for prayer, learning, singing, rest, celebration, and reflection in a variety of forms, allowing everyone to engage in ways that feel authentic to their own practice.

Sliding Scale Registration Fees

We believe cost should never be the reason someone can't participate in this gathering. While the true cost of attending the conference is more than $900 per participant—including lodging and meals—we offer registration on a sliding scale to make the experience as accessible as possible while helping sustain the conference.
