About the event
Join The Jewish Farmer Network, Robariah Farm, and Congregation Anshe Emet for an evening of learning and celebration of our local bounty. We will learn from Farmer Zalman Friedman about his regenerative farming practices and the intersection between the Kosher laws, animal welfare, sustainable agriculture, and the farm to table movement.
This is an in-person event. Tickets are available on a sliding scale and those who register for $60 or above will go home with one of Zalman's world class kosher chickens!
Zalman (Robbie) Friedman owns Robariah Farms, specializing in local, pasture-raised, kosher meat in New England. A certified shochet (ritual slaughterer) and graduate of the Adamah Fellowship, he has innovated kosher poultry processing capabilities for small-scale growers. Robbie lives with his wife Shemariah and three children in Western Massachusetts.
Yona Benjamin is a Hudson Valley agricultural worker, food lover, and Jew passionate about bringing the Jewish and farming communities closer together.…
