About the event

Introduction to the Jewish Agricultural Calendar

Cost: $27-$180

Class Description:

The Jewish calendar is deeply rooted in the rhythms of the land. Many holidays began as markers of the agricultural year—times to plant, harvest, bring offerings, and give thanks.

In this class, we’ll explore the Jewish agricultural calendar and the seasonal cycle that connects Jewish time to farming and food. From Pesach and the barley harvest, to Shavuot and the wheat harvest, and Sukkot’s festival of ingathering, we’ll trace how Jewish tradition organizes the year around planting, tending, and harvest, and consider how these rhythms continue to inspire and inform life today. 🌾📅
