About the Event

One of the most profound and meaningful spiritual practices received through the lineage of ancestral Jewish wisdom is engaging in personal growth known as teshuvah*. Traditionally, the month of Elul preceding the Jewish New Year is viewed as a time to engage in mindful self-awareness and humble self-reflection. This is an especially opportune time to reflect on these ideas as farmers with the Shmitah year - the year of agricultural and economic remission - commencing with Rosh Hashanah. Stewarding land is an incredible reminder of the power of humans as both creators and destroyers. The relationship we cultivate with land is a unique experience.

Join Yesod Farm+Kitchen Scholar-in-Residence, Justin Goldstein, over the four weeks of the month of Elul as we explore together, through community dialog and some light text study, the ways distinct ways that the experience of land stewardship offers us a unique perspective through which to engage in the process of making teshuvah.

This course will run on Tuesdays 7:30-9pm EST over the course of 4 weeks (08/10, 08/17, 08/24 & 08/31).

The cost of the program will be a sliding scale of $36 - $360 for all four sessions.

**If the cost of this event prohibits your participation please do not hesitate to reach out to liel@jewishfarmernetwork.org for a coupon code. It is important to us to make our programming as accessible as possible! **
