About the event
Join us for the next section of our weekly exploration of Seder Zeraim, the first order of the Mishnah, which explores the agricultural foundations of Jewish life. In this series, we will study the Mishnah’s teachings on kilayim—the biblical prohibitions against mixing distinct species in agriculture, animals, and clothing.
Together we’ll explore ancient laws governing grafting trees, planting multiple seeds in the same field, vineyard restrictions, crossbreeding animals, and the prohibition of wool and linen mixtures (shatnez). These texts offer a fascinating window into how Jewish tradition understands boundaries in the natural world and humanity’s role in cultivating the land.
**This Series is taking place every Monday between April 6th-June 8th from 7:30-8:30pm EST**
