Jewish Farmer Network Kehillah (Community) Calls

In these strange times, we feel it's important to check-in with each other and offer some loving community support. Join members of the Jewish Farmer Network community for a monthly check-in on the first Thursday of every (Gregorian) month.
Look forward to guest speakers from our community, agricultural Torah learning, break-out groups with Jewish Farmers from across the world, and some fun updates from the JFN team!
This month we're so grateful to hear from Mollie Rose, the Operations Manager at Hope's Harvest RI, a gleaning and food rescue organization that works to support farmers and increase food access on traditional Narragansett and Wampanoag land in Rhode Island. By mobilizing volunteers to glean farm fields around the state, HHRI provides community education and action around reducing food waste and addressing hunger and food insecurity.
Mollie Rose has a background in backcountry leadership and sustainable business, and studied geography and education. She's farmed since age sixteen all over this land and loves to help small food and farm organizations align their actions with their values. When she's not harvesting or distributing produce, you can find her weaving together stories about ecology, folklore, and food for various theater and performance projects.
