In these strange times, we feel it's important to check-in with each other and offer some loving community support. Join members of the Jewish Farmer Network community for a monthly check-in on the first Thursday of every (Gregorian) month.

Look forward to guest speakers from our community, agricultural Torah learning, break-out groups with Jewish Farmers from across the world, and some fun updates from the JFN team!

We started these community calls at the beginning of the pandemic they have become a monthly tradition. Together we mark the movement fo time, celebrate the season and learn from our inspirational community memmebers. All are welcome!

The hebrew month of Iyar is said to be a time when the medicinal powers of plants are supercharged with healing energy. With that in mind, we have invited Chelsea Taxman, Jewish herbalist to join our call to share a bit about her journey and the ways that her Jewish identity intersects with and informs her work as an herbalist.

For almost 15 years, Chelsea experiences pleasure exploring and studying clinical plant medicine & community wellness. she is inspired by her ashkenazi ancestors,  honeybees, the hebrew calendar, queerness, and deep healing for liberation. Her work combines formal education from many traditions including ayurveda, raja yoga, & she was a JOFEE fellow with hazon in 2019. Chelsea currently offers private consultations & herbal remedies for trans-, queer, poc, disabled, and low-income clients.
