Disabled Jewish Farmers Visioning Call

Purpose of call: The purpose of this gathering is to dedicate time to vision and dream up the future of the Disabled Jewish Farmers group**! How has it been feeling? What other kinds of gatherings/ programming besides the monthly calls (if any) would you like? What projects do you want to work on? What sort of things do you want to organize? So much is possible and JFN is here to support! Some ideas from this past meeting have included: an event around disabled Jewish Farmer wisdom and Shmita, a Disabled Jewish Farmer Zine, some sort of sharing with the larger JFN community (perhaps at the conference? ), another monthly meeting that is more organizing centered, and so much more!

Who can come? ALL are welcome even (and especially) if you haven't been  involved/ present at previous meetings! This is an open meeting for disabled (or crip, Deaf, mentally ill, neurodivergent, chronic pain, chronically ill, etc.) in the wider Jewish farmer community who want to provide insight into what this space can be! ️

**Disabled Jewish Farmers group info: Calling all Disabled Jewish Farmers! We'd love for you to join our community of disabled (or crip, Deaf***, mad, mentally ill, neurodivergent, chronic pain, chronically ill, etc) folks to gush and kvell** at our magic while sharing what it’s like to be a farmer (or to *want* to be a farmer) as disabled people—the woes, frustrations, victories, and connections we have with the land. We gather monthly with rotating facilitators and would love for you to join our next call.

***ASL interpretation is not currently provided, but we welcome signers to join with VRS interpreters. If ASL interpretation would enable you to participate, email us ASAP at liel@jewishfarmernetwork.org so we can arrange for interpretation. These meetings have automated closed captions. We are committed to finding ways to meet each other's access needs.
